Education may not be about cramming our minds with a syllabus in order to become employable, a cog in machines but life long self -directed education (that includes personal development) is the opposite .... it's about unlearning all of that; about opening to new possibilities; about releasing our judgments, assumptions and prejudices; about nurturing our creative flame. an educational system isn't worth a great deal if it teaches people how to make a living but doesn't teach them how to make a life.
I m happy that our schools to a great extent inculcates the above philosophy and various activities other than teaching. the syllabus inspires and motivates our students to develop their own creative initiatives.
Schools these days are not mean only to attain information and knowledge, rather are platforms for collaboration of thoughts and ideas. A school newsletter is a forum that gives utterance to the thoughts of students, teachers and highlights the achievements and milestones covered by the institution. Life poses numerous challenges and the goal of education is to help one to successfully brave through the rough seas of struggle, strife and hurdles. The strength of character developed in this school hold good for the rest of life. A student is made to blossom intellectually, aesthetically, morally and spiritually. My congratulations to the students who have allowed themselves to be shaped morally especially when they face the challenge of a world in turmoil, with so much violence, discrimination and exploitation. I entreat the Almighty to shower His blessings in plenty upon the staff and students of the school in their efforts.I hope we continue with the same, the vision and philosophy in our future.
